There are regular extracurricular activities sponsored by the teachers and determined by the interest of the students. After school clubs in areas such as learning to play chess, swimming and intramural sports in football are a regular part of the program. As the school grows, the number of available sports will also increase.
Field trips form a basic and vital portion of our educational programming. Field trips within our country as well as nearby countries and to nearby points of interest are scheduled by various classroom teachers throughout the school year. These trips are designed to supplement different aspects of the classroom curriculum and to help students explore ideas that flow from their classroom instruction. Parents will receive sufficient advance notices of field trips, which shall include the trip date, destination, and other necessary details. Parents will be asked to sign field trip permission forms confirming their knowledge of the trip and approval for participation. Students may be requested to pay the cost of meals and entrance fees. It is expected that all students on field trips will wear school uniforms unless permission is given to do otherwise.
In the event that a trip is within walking distance of the school, no notice home will be given. This includes trips to Qatar Academy, Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, or any area within walking distance of the Learning Center.
